Change shifts on an existing version
- Select the 'Scheduler' tab.
- Choose the schedule and latest version
- Select the menu (3 lines) and choose the 'Change shifts' tool.
- The 'Manage shifts' window will display.
- Select the 'Range of days when shifts should be added or removed' from the drop down menus by choosing a date range for the whole schedule period, a few days or a day.
- Next, click on 'Day Type', 'Individual shifts' or 'Shift substitutions' in the 'Add or remove shifts based on' section.
- If you select 'Individual shifts', you can choose one or multiple check boxes next to the names of the shifts in the 'Select the shifts to include for each day' section to add or uncheck the check boxes to remove shifts.
- In a case that you choose a 'Day Type', you can select your Day Type selection from the drop down menu in the 'Choose day type to set the shifts for this day' section. The locking/cycle scheduling state for assigned shifts is now preserved when substituting shifts for 1 day using the day-type option.
- As an alternative, you can use the 'Shift substitutions' to transfer shift requests and shift assignments. Select a shift to transfer shift requests and shift assignments from existing shifts.
- Click the 'Next' button to continue.
- To apply the update, click the 'Save' button to confirm.
- Next step, click the 'Reset format' option in the 'Display & print' section of the top menu.
- In the 'Reset display or print format' window, click the 'Save' button to format the shift changes.
