How to make a 3 way trade in ByteBloc
- Log into ByteBloc
- Click on the 'Main' tab.
- Then select the schedule from the drop down menu
- Left-click on the shift on the particular day you want to trade
- Choose 'Trade' and 'Limit to individuals' from the 'Schedule change type' selections
- Click 'Next' to continue.
- Choose a day you want to 'trade' for on the current month, or use the drop-down menu to select another month to see what shifts are available to trade with. In the calendar, days marked green have shifts that you can or want to work based on shift conflicts and preferences. Days marked pink are devoid of such shifts. The day can be colored as gray, meaning that there is no shift that is part of the trade for the day. This situation can happen when a trade is initiated from the shift assigned to a provider other than the one currently logged in (i.e., the shift initially selected when defining the trade is the shift the current provider wants to work).
- Note: The trade summary calendar includes the short names of the shifts available to trade and their current assignment.
- Select the shift/provider you want to 'trade' with
- Click 'Next' to continue.
- Review the 'Proposed schedule change summary'
- Click 'Save' to update the schedule.
- If you click the 'Save' button, depending on your permissions, the schedule will automatically update with 'Certify Changes'.
- If you click the 'Save' button, depending on your permissions, the schedule doesn't update, the following recipient will receive a notification to accept or deny the trade proposal. They'll need to accept or deny the proposal from the 'Provider portal', in the 'My Proposals' screen. If you require additional approval, the schedule administrator will be notified to approve of the schedule change.
- Click the 'Accept' button to approve of the trade proposal.
- Click the 'OK' button to Accept the proposal.
- A eve shift was traded for a day shift between 2 providers.
- Now, the 3rd provider will have to trade a s5 shift on February 14th with the provider who traded for the s3 shift.
- The provider will have to follow the steps above to do a 2nd trade.
- This will complete the 3rd trade.
